অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বিপক্ষে সেমিফাইনালের আগে ফুসফুসের সংক্রমণে আইসিইউতে ছিলেন মোহাম্মদ রিজওয়ান। সেই রিজওয়ান ব্যাট হাতে অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বিপক্ষে খেলেছেন দলের সেরা ইনিংস। রোমাঞ্চকর সেমিফাইনালে পাকিস্তান হেরে গেলেও রিজওয়ানের প্রশংসায় পঞ্চমুখ গোটা ক্রিকেট দুনিয়া।
রিজওয়ান অসুস্থ, ম্যাচের আগে তা জানতেন সবাই। কিন্তু সেই অসুস্থতা যে এতটাই গুরুতর, তা দলের বাইরের কাউকে টের পেতে দেওয়া হয়নি।
