কনকাশন সাবস্টিটিউট বা কনকাশন বদলি যে এমন আশীর্বাদ হয়ে উঠতে পারে, তা হয়ত ভারত স্বপ্নেও ভাবেনি। মূল একাদশেই জায়গা পাননি যুযবেন্দ্র চাহাল। অথচ তিনিই কিনা জেতালেন ম্যাচ! এ নিয়ে টুইটারে জমা পড়েছে মিশ্র প্রতিক্রিয়া।
ভারতের ইনিংসে ব্যাটিংয়ের সময় হ্যামস্ট্রিংয়ে চোট পান ব্যাট হাতে ২৩ বলে ৪৪ রানের দারুণ ইনিংস খেলা রবীন্দ্র জাদেজা। তার বদলি হিসেবে ‘কনকাশন বদলি’ হিসেবে একাদশে নেওয়া হয় চাহালকে। সেই চাহালই বল হাতে অভাবনীয় সাফল্য এনে দেন দলকে, ৩ উইকেট শিকার করে দলকে এনে দেন জয়।
অথচ সেই চাহাল কি না মূল একাদশেই জায়গা পাননি! অস্ট্রেলিয়ার কোচ জাস্টিন ল্যাঙ্গার আপত্তিও তুলেছিলেন। যদিও ম্যাচ রেফারি অনুমোদন দেওয়ায় ভারত বাঁধার সম্মুখীন হয়নি। জাদেজা মূলত অলরাউন্ডার, আর চাহাল বোলার। দুজনই অবশ্য স্পিনার। কিন্তু সমকক্ষ ক্রিকেটার না হলে কনকাশন বদলি বৈধ হয় কি না এ নিয়ে আছে বিতর্ক।
