স্বপ্নের মত সময় কাটাচ্ছেন থাঙ্গারাসু নটরাজন। কম সময়ে ভারতের হয়ে তিন ফরম্যাটে অভিষেকের রেকর্ড গড়েছেন। ব্রিসবেনের গ্যাবায় সিরিজের চতুর্থ ও শেষ টেস্টে অজি ব্যাটসম্যানদের কঠিন ধাঁধায়ও ফেলছেন। কিন্তু এরই মাঝে তার বিরুদ্ধে ফিক্সিংয়ের অভিযোগ তুলেছেন শেন ওয়ার্ন।

বেপরোয়া কথাবার্তার জন্য খ্যাত ওয়ার্ন অবশ্য সরাসরি ফিক্সিংয়ের কথা উচ্চারণ করেননি। কিন্তু নটরাজনকে নিয়ে তার বক্তব্য স্পষ্টতই ফিক্সিংয়ের দিকেই আঙুল তুলছে। ব্রিসবেন টেস্টে সাতটি নো বল করেছেন নটরাজন। যার পাঁচটিই কোনো না কোনো ওভারের প্রথম বলে। ওয়ার্ন তাই দ্বিধান্বিত- এই নো বল কি ভুলক্রমে হয়েছে নাকি ইচ্ছা করেই!

ফক্স স্পোর্টসকে ওয়ার্ন বলেন, ‘কিছু অদ্ভুত জিনিস চোখে পড়ল। যখন নটরাজন বল করছিল তখন দেখলাম, তিনি সাতটি নো বল করেছেন। আর সেগুলির প্রতিটিই বড়সড় নো বল ছিল। এবং সেই পাঁচটিই প্রথম বল- সেগুলো আবার বড় বড়।’

নটরাজনকে নিয়ে নিজের সন্দেহ লুকানোর চেষ্টা করেননি ওয়ার্ন। তিনি বলেন, ‘আমার খুব দৃষ্টিকটূ লেগেছে। আমরা সবাই-ই নো বল করেছি, কিন্তু তার পাঁচটিই ওভারের প্রথম বল -বিষয়টি বড় অদ্ভুত!’

এমন দাবির প্রেক্ষিতে ওয়ার্নকেই অবশ্য কাঠগড়ায় দাঁড়াতে হচ্ছে। ভারতের সমর্থকরা টুইটারে রীতিমত ধুয়ে দিচ্ছেন অস্ট্রেলিয়ার স্পিন কিংবদন্তিকে।

The commentary said nothing about Smith and the batting guard but Warne comments on Natarajan bowling no balls and says he is match fixing! Natarajan has been a net bowler for a while and is making his test debut.

Pretty poor of Warne to indicate that Natarajan was doing “spot fixing” by bowling those no balls. I hope BCCI takes this up seriously.

Natarajan has come from very humble backgrounds. He worked hard to reach this position, how can Warne suggest he was fixing? He is sure to get good contracts in @IPL and may become permanent in India @BCCI team. Will such a person even think of doing this?@cricketcomau
