Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets on Sunday (12th May) at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Daryl Mitchell's brilliant spell, which had three wickets helped CSK marginalised to 141 on the board. In reply, gutsy Ruturaj Gaikwad's knock 42* off 41 helped the hosts win the match by 5 wickets in hands and 10 balls to spare.

Daryl Mitchell put up a brilliant show with the ball as he claimed 3 wickets with his slowish bowling at Cheepak. 
Opting to bat first, the openers added 42 runs on a sluggish pitch. Yashasvi Jaiswal made 24 off 21 before falling to Simarjeet Singh. His partner Jos Buttler played another tortoise like innings as he managed to score just 21 runs after consuming 25 deliveries.

Riyan Parag and skipper Sanju Samson did stich a stand but the captain never looked in touch. He crumbled on his timing and eventually perished scoring 15 off 19 deliveries. Parag on the other hand, scored majority of the scores and made a fine 47 off 35 being not out. Dhruv Jurel did the flourishing job as he smacked 28 off 18 balls to help RR amble 141 on the board.

In reply, CSK were always top as the openers gave them a rapid start. Rachin Ravindra made a fantastic 27 off 18 balls to give CSK a solid foundation in the chase. Another kiwi Daryl Mitchell came to hit some delightful shots and he made 22 off 13 balls before being trapped to Yuzvendra Chahal. Shivam Dube contributed and then the skipper himself of the side Ruturaj Gaikwad was playing the anchor role to help his side chase down the total at ease. The captain of CSK, Ruturaj Gaikwad was unbeaten on 42* off 41 balls.
